"Tamzin Clarke v Jack The Ripper" by Lauren Stock and Robert Stock

From the very first page, I was hooked by the dark, mysterious, and thrilling writing. Within the first chapter, I witnessed such a new and innovative story. It was hard to put the book down! I actually picked it up, because the case, "Jack the Ripper" was a part of the story, and I got so much more than I dreamed.

About the book: Tamzin Clarke, a level-headed young woman, is beginning to make the world her own. She's honed her skills in dancing over ten years of dedication, enough to teach her own beginner's tumbler class. She has a typical musically inclined boyfriend named Jimmy, and a fair amount of school friends. She even makes the time to work with her father at his antique shop when she's not at school,or with her boyfriend. Needless to say, Tamzin likes to stay busy.

Things take a turn, when Tamzin meets an illusive Daniel. She decides to keep an extra eye on him, because he is prone to disappearing at odd times. Unexpectedly, Tamzin, and her family experience the murder of a member of their family (Tamzin's sister). Against normal regulations, Tamzin's mother takes on the lead detective role in the murder case.  A slew of sporadic murders unfold, copying the horrific crimes of Jack the Ripper of the late 1800's. Tamzin takes it upon herself to immerse her skills in the case, and finds herself questioning the facts. Who could this murderer be, and why is Daniel gone again?

I'd highly recommend this urban paranormal/horror novel. It has everything you are looking for! Not to mention you get a little taste of history too. 5 stars all around!
